Good Morning

I hope everyone is looking forward to a fun 4th of July holiday. I have been away from work, which is nice. Went on a hike, enjoyed some time with friends and bought a new swimsuit for Palm Springs.

Today I think I will head to the beach for a walk. Tonight, some friends and I may head to the Jackson Family Compound in Encino, cause we can. Have a wonderful long weekend holiday, or for those of you who are off longer, have a great adventure.

Life is a party and the party goes on, even if we do not R.S.V.P. . . . so . . . let's R.S.V.P. You can always blame it on the boogie. Ha!

Rest in Peace Childhood Icons

What an emotional roller coaster Thursday was. We lost two childhood icons.

Farrah Fawcett - She invented the combination flip of the hair and giggle.

and

Michael Jackson who was more talented than my words can describe. I have so many moments in my life that Michael's music was playing. Perhaps now, they will leave you alone.

Rest in peace and thank you for the memories.

Have a great weekend everyone and do something that reminds you how amazing you are.

Under the Warhol Super Stars

Saturday night we attendend the 13 Most Beautiful... Songs for Andy Warhol's Screen Tests. Shown in the background with Live Musical Accompaniment by Dean & Britta, they were extra good, some music felt and sounded in the style of The Velvet Underground.

One of the screen tests was Mary Woronov, we were lucky to have her at the performance. Mary, being part of the Warhol Factory, explained that to Andy, these were not screen tests but more as moving portraits that could be put onto a wall. Warhol was a voyuer and enjoyed watching, without being watched.

Also that the screen tests were longer than normal screen tests. This way the real person was likely to come through.

Mary also mentioned a book she has written, Swimming Underground: My Years in the Warhol Factory, about her experiences being part of the Warhol factory.

There were 13 screen tests, each with a song and a short description. What a perfect evening it was for this tribute to Andy, under the stars at the Ford Ampitheatre, The Hollywood bowls' smaller brother on the other side of the caheunga pass.

WOW! It is already Thursday . . . .

This week has flown by, at least for me. Its difficult to believe it is almost July. I am really looking forward to the weekend, although we have no "official" plans. I am tossing the idea of a beach picnic, or sending out a mass tweet or text to converge on the Century City Plaza hotel patio for a drink. Hmmm, what to do.

No matter what you are doing today, I hope you are doing well and smiling. Life is a party, and the party goes on, even if we do not R.S.V.P. So, let's R.S.V.P.

what are your weekend thoughts?
