Weekend Update a day late

I hope everyone is having a good week so far. This past weekend was extra warm here in La La land. It stayed cooler at the beach though, which was nice. It is nice this time of year as the Jasmine and the Jacaranda trees are in full bloom. Both have an amazing scent that fills the air. Saturday, as I often do, I hiked the Runyon Canyon.

A blooming Jacaranda tree.

The Cactus here is the city are blooming.

Those Hollywood Hills still amaze me.

Guarded Luxury

Get your stuff and GET OUT! Lol

Oh my . . . . dirty berries

Beautiful, yet deadly . . . White oleander.

I think this is a really interesting house.

Oh . . . The parties they held.

Rustic gates to someones quiet paradise.

After hiking I headed into Hollywood.

On my way home, I stopped by one of my favorite homes in Beverly Hills. The Witch's House:- This house was built in 1921 for a movie studio in Culver City. It was used in several films until 1926 when it was moved here, to this residential area of Beverly Hills. It has been a private home ever since. Looking just like a Hansel & Gretel cottage it is quite easy to see why it as become known as the Witch's House.

Hope you had a great weekend and your week is going well.

Beautiful photos as always to capture the beautiful surrounds. PLEASE send some of that warmth to Chicagoland. We've been cold for toooo long! So is that your domain that was heavily guarded behind the gate? ;-)

afod - Thank you as always for the compliments. I wish I could send some. Ours has actually gone away, for now. Oh no, not mine, but, what an amazing property.

i was vising my uncle in glendale this last weekend and spent most of the time in the pool. it was disgustingly hot in la:yuck.
i'm a native los angeleno so i say this with only love of la: i hate the kind of heat it made in la last weekend: claustrophobic, so hot it gives you hives and i could hardly breathe. other than that, i had a great time at hyde, after dinner at ketchup, with the uncs and his man on sat night.
peace,
t.

So are you just visiting LA? Well i live an hour away, but I'm always there cause my dad has an office there. it can get really hot, so I usually just stay indoors, but I was there last weekend too, maybe we ran into each other. wouldn't that be weird

tyler - Yes, it was a humid hot. As you know, Glendale is often hotter.

WOW! You had some fun too!

Anonymous Blogger - Yes, I am visiting and I live here in Los Angeles. lol. I was born in LA and raised in Orange County. That would be odd and cool if we passed each other on the street.

rick - you should. It is an amazing city. We have our issues, just like any other. But I still am happy to call it home.
