Where were you?

So, can you believe it? It has been 14 years ago, today (June 17, 1994) that O.J. Simpson drove that infamous white Ford Bronco and clogged the Los Angeles Freeways. I was as a designer at the Water District of Los Angeles, and was working on a designing an interactive museum about water. We all watched it unfold on a boardroom television.

Where were you?

I was in Miami in a very seedy hotel.

My flight to god-knows-where cancelled and AA put me up in some skanky hotel by the airport. I slept w/ my clothes on and a chair braced against the door.

And, yes, O.J. was on the TV.

I can't believe it was that long ago already. Perhaps it's because we hear about OJ so much. I was three years out of college and can recall many people at in the conferece room watching it on a small 19" TV. Then it seemed there was always a joke about "seeing OJ" whenever we'd encounter a white Bronco in town.
