Walks, Estates, people and Ocean Views

Happy Monday. This past weekend was busy and fun for us. Yet another of our many adventures. Saturday morning, I enjoyed my coffee and read the paper then headed to my usual hike of Runyon. It was a very nice morning to hike as it was overcast and would be cooler. As I was hiking, in an attempt to keep this 43 year old piece of grizzle from falling, the sun came out and made some brilliant blue skies.

I think someone is about to lay some serious pipe. lol

After the hike, I stopped by The Dorothy Chandler Estate. I has been recently purchased and being refurbished by someone who most likely will never appreciate it as much as I would. What an spectacular and majestic estate in a Beaux Arts style. I stand at your gates, imagine the parties and lazy Sunday afternoons this beauty has hosted. If we only knew of your guest lists, the jokes told and things whispered in hallways.

Saturday evening we went with some friends to Americana in Glendale. It is a new shopping center done by the same architect/designer as the Grove.

(side note: I like how the sculptor left the statue uncut.)

Sunday, we went with a group of friends on a bike ride from our place to Hermosa Beach. We guess it is a 20 something mile bike ride, mainly along the beach.

I hope you had an amazing and adventurous weekend also. As always, if not, you are always welcome to join us.

Dit.

LOVE the pics as always! I really
like the one with those two guys.
Yeah even if I was finished with
my hike I'd go back :)
I know I really should stop. But
heck a great male body is just like
a great female body. I would never
touch I just look :)

I'm sorry that someone bought that
place you like. If it was me than
you know that I'd let you redo it
anyway you wanted.

Glad you had a good weekend!

I come to realize that a lot of hot guys like to hike shirtless from your posts....

You always show aside of the LA area that I never knew existed. I've only been a couple of times and did more of the touristy stuff. You make it look so inviting. Especially the hot guys with their shirts off!

You have SO much energy ... I really admire it. Some days I strubble to get my lazy ass out of bed before lunch. You provide me with inspiration!

Again, such great captures. YOu really have an eye for the subject (and I'm not just talking about shirtless guys). What equipment do you use?

laurie, - Yes, one of the perks of hiking Runyon. lol

hamilton, - Yes, it is true. As I told laurie. Just another advantage to hiking. You never know who might be around that corner. Ha!

rick, - you know, there are so many places to see and things to do in Los Angeles. So many sections and hidden jewels.

anthony, - Thank you. I try. Sometimes are easier than others.

YvesPaul, - Yes, I like that one also.

Thank you all for the compliments on the photos. I really enjoy taking photographs and trying to look at things in a different light or perspective. I appreciate each of you and your comments.

They're missing my pipe sadly.

"will never appreciate it as much as I would."

I seem to say that a lot about people with money and nice homes.

Looks like you guys had another action-packed adventure. Beautiful job on the photos with some great vantage points. Interesting to note no gum on the undersides of the picnic table. I hope you thanked the person who took the photo of you two walking shirtless together. ;-)
