Saturday morning, I enjoyed coffee and reading the paper. I made a mess. lol
later, a friend and I went to the Getty Villa in Malibu. It was a crisp 70 degrees at the beach, a beautiful day for some culture and history. Enjoy the photos. The museum is a replica of a summer Villa in Italy.

The J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Villa in Malibu opened on January 28, 2006, after the completion of a major renovation project. As a museum and educational center dedicated to the study of the arts and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria, the Getty Villa serves a varied audience through exhibitions, conservation, scholarship, research, and public programs. The Villa houses approximately 44,000 works of art from the Museum's extensive collection of Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiquities, of which over 1,200 are on view.
If you ever have the opportunity do visit, do. It is free, except for parking ($10.00), make reservations online, we didn't and flirted with the guy at the entrance, he pulled two tickets out of his pocket. Ha!

I've looked up there on the hill at the Museum many times and thought how beautiful it is!
I love that museum. It's so gorgeous. I always look for homoerotic Greek pottery (there was a lot) but the collection doesn't seem to have any... :P
