I am currently unemployed, looking for work and filling my days with . . .. well, things to do. Ha! For example, Friday, I baked Blueberry Scones, took them to a few friends, hiked Runyon Canyon, then sat in the sun with our new kitten Bilou. Later in the afternoon, I made beef empanadas.
I also spend part of each day looking for work. But today, it is going to be 80 degrees in Los Angeles, and I am going to just enjoy the day with a few friends.

Oh my gosh, I'm really sorry to hear about your lack of employment. I swear, things are just not right in this world right now. The pastries look delicious! Can you make me a vegetarian option? Maybe carmelized onion with smoked cheddar and hazelnuts or something? Oh, and a green salad too.....and a glass of chilled wine.
