Sunny Days and Dolly Parton Nights

This past weekend went too fast for me. So much enjoyment was had . . . I am unsure where to start. Saturday, I woke up early and headed to Runyon Canyon to get a hike in.

Crackpot!

Saturday evening I picked up My Better Half, then later I went back to LAX to pick up my Sister and my favorite Niece. Sunday morning we woke up, enjoyed coffee and some chatting and decided to go out for breakfast. I asked my Niece where she wanted to go, Venice, Hollywood or Beverly Hills. She chose Hollywood, so off we went. We spent part of the day In Hollywood and going to Hollywood and Highland.

Sunday evening. After my Sister and Niece headed to LAX to go on their way to the Olympics. We headed back into Hollywood to the Greek Theater to see Dolly Parton in concert. We had an amazing time and it was more than a great show. Dolly was adorable and talented as ever. After singing Joline, she joked about changing the lyrics to Drag Queen. We thought that was too funny. She sand so many songs from her ongoing songbook, she also rocked the house with her rendition of The Fine Young Cannibals 1989 hit "She Drives Me Crazy"

As in usual fashion, being Los Angeles, we saw a few celebrities who were enjoying the concert too. We saw Justin Chambers and Katherine Heigl of Grey's Anatomy fame.

I hope you had a spectacular weekend also. So . . . how did it go? what did you do?

You did have a full weekend! I
spent ALL day Saturday waiting for
a call about the dog that I want.
Didn't hear a darned thing! Sunday
I spent doing grocery, the rest of
the laundry and plotting a way to
break into the yard of the business
and steal the dog.

So glad you had a great weekend!

HUGS!!!!!

I love those photos, very pretty. It's so cheesy, but I do love Hollywood. it's old-fashioned fun. I didn't do much this weekend, finally saw Dark Knight though.

"Armed Reponse"? Shivvvvers. As for Dolly, did she sing "Travelin' On" from TransAmerica? I love her so much. Nice boobs and all.
