Thursdays are great!

Thursdays are great, at least I think so. Similar to being next in line, (if you think of weekdays as spaces in line). There is not any pressure to do anything except think of what you would enjoy doing with "your" time on the weekend. Much different from Friday where you must come to a decision. Not intending that that decision is any problem, but you get my drift.

Anyway . . . . I hope you are all having an amazing Thursday. One thing I have learned this week, you simply never know. One day things are just normal and good, but still nothing too exciting. The next thing you know, you are getting a new computer and potentially a dream car. I think life is cool that way. Yes, it can go the other way too, for example you find out something not very good. But for now, lets focus on the good things.

My better half suggests I think of some personalized plates to go on the vehicle. Even being the creative type that I am, for this, I am at a loss. Any ideas?

I will close in wishing each and everyone of you a brilliant and amazing Thursday, think of it like a bakery, you are next in line and this weekend you can request any sweet or not so sweet you want.

Take care, Dit.

I’m not crazy about Thursdays. To me, Thursday is just and obstacle to Friday. Just for jollies I looked up a few Thursdays and, shame on me, they’re usually pretty entertaining:

July, 1591 - An order of the Privy Council ; in July 1591, prohibits the exhibition of plays on Thursdays, because on Thursdays bear-baiting and suchlike pastimes had been usually practiced.

Dec. 14, 1917 - "Lightless nights" for Broadway and other "white ways" throughout the country are to be on Sundays and Thursdays. This is to save fuel for the war effort.

Nov 17, 1947 - Chicken Every Thursday. The inevitable happened. Chuck Luckman turned up in Hollywood to preach his save-food doctrine and witness the start of the "Friendship Train," a cross-country stunt to collect food donated for hungry Europe.

And, of course, Thanksgiving is on a Thursday… which we don’t do in our little town. Thanks for bring THAT up. Can’t even get cranberries, for chrissake.

I'll have whatever you're having. I've never been THAT excited about a Thursday before. As for your number plate, in CA is there any standard it needs to follow (i.e. minimum letters/numbers)? Maybe then I can suggest something ;-)

I never thought of it that way
before. I like that.
The only problem for me is that on
Thursday I'm so tired that I get
grouchy. I'm more tired on Mondays
and Thursdays.

I must caution against personalized plates in Southern California. The last thing you want is for people to remember that "DLISHDIT" cut them off in traffic and flipped them the bird as they follow you into the Ikea parking lot and wait to key your car after you go inside to have the meatball special... just a thought anyway.
