Rainy Days and Mondays

Well, only Monday really, it is slightly drizzle in some beach areas today. I Hope everyone is doing well today. I am good. We did not go anywhere or do anything this past weekend. Can you believe it? Friday, I started feeling as if I were getting a dreaded cold. Sore throat, runny nose , etc. So, this weekend I stayed home, played Grand Theft Auto IV. Watched There Will Be Blood - of which there was very little. lol Loved that parts of it were filmed in the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills. It was build by and belonged to the Doheny family who made their money from oil in Los Angeles.

Here are a few images of Greystone. Its pretty amazing, even had a murder there of a Doheny.

Also watched Juno, which is a brilliant film. One of those that you often want to go back and see it again because the dialog is so amazing you want to hear every word. At least I did.

I am feeling better today. However I missed my hikes and bike rides. Hopefully next weekend.

What did you do?

Hope this finds you feeling better by the hour! It sucks to be under the weather on a weekend! :( We had a good weekend. It was mother's day, but mostly we ended up spoiling the kids... who are, after all, the reasons we are mothers! :)

You're so lucky! My son grounded
me from playing his GTA years ago
because I was having to much fun
running people over and hitting
them with the bat :(

I hope you aren't getting sick.

That is a really pretty house. I
wonder if it's haunted?

HUGS!!!!

Here's to a quick recuperation. Great pictures of Greystone. It's still cold here in Chicagoland. I hope your week has started off well.

Gorgeous mansion. I have Juno in my Netflix queue - definitely want to see. Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better.

Hey, did ya like "There Will Be Blood"? Bizarre movie really. I had no idea they used that local mansion. Thanks for the lesson.

And thanks for reminding me about JUNO. I must get it on Netflix this week.

I DRINK YOUR MILKSHAKE!! HaHa All my friends are sick of me saying that. But seriously, I would drink Daniel Day Lewis' bath water. Check him out in The Unbearable Lightness of Being and My Beautiful Launderette. That's when I fell in love with him.

Love Greystone. We picnic there from time to time.

..And I think you know what I did on the weekend. Feel better
