Gay Pride Weekend - Los Angeles

I hope this finds you doing well and enjoying your day. Friday night some friends and I went to The Buggy Whip. We have been talking about this for years. The Buggy Whip is an old school restaurant with lots of character, not only in in its red leather booths and live piano player, but also in its staff. The Piano player even sang a Carpenter’s song for a friend.

On Saturday, after our coffee and time spent with friends. We went to hike Runyon canyon. Typical, huh? Lol It was a great hike and helped to keep our fitness.

Saturday afternoon, the California AIDS Ride was coming to an end. We went to greet a friend who had made this amazing ride. The riders had bicycled from San Francisco, California to Los Angeles, California. They raised over 11.6 Million dollars for AIDS. Amazing and something to be proud of. We are sure proud of him.

Sunday, was Gay Pride in Los Angeles. We had a great time, as always. Over-all, I felt the parade was more subdued this year. Sort of quiet and tame, compared to years past. Less floats and organizations joined in the festivities.

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa joined in the respectable part of the parade. lol

Then . . . It started to get a little more interesting.
lol

I hope you had a pride filled weekend too.

Glad to see that you partook in the parade and marched. I would have to say that you look mighty fine in those whites! ;-)

Great pictures and a nice recap from what had to be an enjoyable weekend.

Well thanks for these pics. I never go to the parade. Don't wanna deal with the crowds and blah blah blah.

I'm old and bitter. LOL.
