Pie part deux

Happy Wednesday,

Not too much going on in my world. Last night, I decided to make another pie. I made the same recipe, a Pear-Cranberry pie. Pears were on sale, so I thought oh my! Lets do it again.

Here it is.

This week, I have learned I can make a pretty good pie. I have no idea why, I was always afraid of getting the crust right. Have you learned anything this week? Do tell, go on . . . You know you want to share it.

Janus, - I use the Pate Brissee pie dough recipie from Martha Stewart.com. For the Pear Cranberry filling, I use the Pear and Dried Cherry Pie recipe from Martha. However, instead of Cherries I use dried cranberries and I only put the cinnamon. No nutmeg or cloves.

Greg, Yes, it most certainly is. 8-)

Thanks! Would be fun to try baking again. When I was a kid, I tried making cakes. And I was working in a bakery a few years back but had to quit because my fingers were getting numbed and painful from all the dough kneading…

A man who makes his own crust? OO-la-la! I admit I buy the pre-made crusts. ACK!!! But the pie looks absolutely delish. I'll take a slice with a scoop on the side. :-)
